Hola, chica! It’s time for…
Hello dear friend,
So good to be here again, in front of the screen of my laptop, sharing my thoughts and stories with you.
There are only a few days since I came back from Barcelona, a beautiful European paradise. It’s such a marvelous city, one of the most complex European capitals. It has everything a human soul would need – history, sun and great weather, sea and wide beaches with soft sand, breathtaking architecture, nightlife and the list could continue…
I wish I could have been stayed longer but I had only 3 full days to enjoy the city. This destination came as a surprise. Even if Barcelona was on my top 10 list of travelling destination, every time I was about to buy my flight tickets something occurred… a more interesting destination, a cheaper destination, a friend who invited me in a city I would never visit…and so on and so forth…this time I finally managed to finish the equation and set everything up for Barcelona.
I’ve never thought that this place would beat every single destination I’ve visited till now. This place is incredible. From the moment I stepped out from the airport and felt that salty and humid air, I felt in love. I know it may sound weird, but we all have our “problems” and I love humidity. It’s like the perfect weather for me. Take me to a beach and leave me there with the sea and the palms and I’d be happy forever!
Even if I had only two days for visiting, I found a great solution to get to see a great part of the city. We took the “Hop On Hop Off” buss, that red double decker you see in every capital, and spent two days travelling the city and also having a view. It’s quite nice cause you don’t have to spend more money on public transportation, because you can take it and leave it everywhere and every time you want.
Here’s list with my top 8 favorite things to do in Barcelona:
- Visit the following:
- Sagrada Família
- Park Güell
- La Rambla
- Casa Milà
- Casa Batlló
- La Barceloneta
- Magic Fountain of Montjuïc
- Museu Picasso
- Barcelona Cathedral
- Eat a paella with seafood
- Visit Mercado La Boqueria and try their fresh food and fruits
- Drink a glass (or more) of Sangria
- Also, try a Cervesa
- Spend a day on the beach, relax and enjoy those vibes
- Take the funicular to Tibidabo
- Visit the Chocolate Factory boutiques
So, my dear, the next time when you’re planning a vacation and you’re about to book those flight tickets, just take a minute to remember what I’ve told you. Remember to visit Barcelona!
With love,
