Geometry of fashion

Hello, lovelies!

First of all, I want to welcome the super talented photographer Adrian Scutariu to my website. With just a click on his name you can check out his other projects and photoshoots.

Now, that you know who’s behind the camera, I will tell you a few things about my outfit and how I chose it for this photoshoot.

I’m a huge fan of wearing black & white, as I have probably told you before. I like to put the accent on the textures of my outfits rather than choosing an extreme color. Though, it depends on the mood I have when I open the wardrobe. Sometimes I just  can’t stop but choosing colors over colors.

This time, I wanted some textures for the photoshoot. I have decided with Adi to try something new, a mixture of fashion, street and artsy photography. Who said you can’t have them all? You just have to find the right person who’s gonna understand your vision.

The outfit is simple and feminine. I’ve always believed that less is more. You don’t need tones of accessories or colors to be in the spotlight, but to wear suitable items for your body shape, personality and lifestyle.

Do you struggle with the morning lack of outfit inspo?

Here are some tips to help you find the inspiration.

When you open the wardrobe in the morning, close your eyes and pick the first thing that comes to your mind. After this, build your outfit step-by-step according to the selected item, piece by piece, just like a puzzle.

Also, sometimes I choose my outfit after I do my make-up. If I feel like wearing a certain lipstick or eyeshadow, then my outfit will be matchy-matched with it.

As you can see, my lips are matched with my clutch. Actually, that’s an interesting one, cause if you turn it on the other side, then you’ll have a beautiful black clutch. Got it from Iutta.

Then, there’s this cool pair of wide-leg silky pants with this cool stripy print, in the same context with the stripped textured top. To create a balance between the two stripped items, I chose a simple black belt around my waist paired with a black chocker around my neck.

The last, but not the least, is the “a bit of sexiness” touch given by the cat-eye glasses and these beauties (the sandals) from Gino Rossi that I found on Answear.

So, the point is that I wanted to create a look which can incorporate all of my attributes, my super complex personality and my quick changing lifestyle. My life is definitely far from following a preset schedule, so I’ll always need to find a way to adapt my looks to my super active way of living.

This outfit can be easily adapted for day & night!

For  D A Y: take off the high heels, there’s no need of them. Instead, add a pair of ballerinas and a black or red suit coat, an oversized bag and a black & white (checkered or a polka dot) scarf for a bit of diversity.

For  N I G H T: a bit more make-up, take off the glasses, put your hair in a messy ponytail or bun, oversized earrings and a fancy clutch (even a glittery one).
